AZ-400 : Azure DevOps - Preparation Road map

A few days back, I managed to pass the 3-star expert level certification exam. It was AZ-400 Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions examination which upon clearing gives you Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification. This exam has a very wide curriculum covering all the aspects of DevOps understanding and concepts. It is considered as a very hard examination if you’re not familiar with various techniques and concepts used when implementing DevOps practice.

This examination covers topics like:

• Design a DevOps strategy (20-25%)
• Implement DevOps development processes (20-25%)
• Implement continuous integration (10-15%)
• Implement continuous delivery (10-15%)
• Implement dependency management (5-10%)
• Implement application infrastructure (15-20%)
• Implement continuous feedback (10-15%)

Who should aim for this certification?

According to Microsoft,
Candidates for this exam are DevOps professionals who combine people, process, and technologies to continuously deliver valuable products and services that meet end user needs and business objectives. DevOps professionals streamline delivery by optimizing practices, improving communications and collaboration, and creating automation. They design and implement strategies for application code and infrastructure that allow for continuous integration, continuous testing, continuous delivery, and continuous monitoring and feedback.
Candidates must be proficient with Agile practices. They must be familiar with both Azure administration and Azure development and experts in at least one of these areas. Azure DevOps professionals must be able to design and implement DevOps practices for version control, compliance, infrastructure as code, configuration management, build, release, and testing by using Azure technologies.

Prerequisites

Before trying out this course, it is recommended that you have gone through AZ-103 or AZ-203 examinations. These examinations would lay down the basic foundation of the platform and would help you understand the concepts in a smooth manner.
